Table tennis, commonly known as ping pong, was invented around the turn of the twentieth century and is now a competitive sport played worldwide.
Table tennis originated from the game of "real tennis" that was once played in France, England and the United States.
In the 1900s it became a recognised sport, and the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) was founded in 1926.
Towards the end of the nineteenth century, ping pong also spread through the East, especially in China, Japan and Korea, becoming the national sport of China in the 1950s at the behest of Mao Zedong.
Thanks to a large number of Chinese players, table tennis is now the most widely played sport in the world and has been an Olympic discipline for many years.

Table tennis requires a great deal of flexibility and significant concentration, which is why it is important for athletes to train and compete using quality equipment that offers optimal performance.
Artisport offers a range of ping pong tables suitable for both indoor and outdoor spaces. Our tables are made from a metal frame covered by a chipboard playing surface with a melamine coating and include a net and net clamps.
They can be folded and have wheels, allowing them to be moved easily. They can be used for both recreational games and training. The Artisport catalogue also features various table tennis bats and balls.
